Новый сингл 4Mal — Two Plus Two Plus Five (Pushkin’s 225) [FlipCube Records, FLIPCUBE072]
К юбилею А.С. Пушкина театральный режиссёр Александр Борисов задумал и реализовал масштабный проект — девятичасовой поэтический марафон «2+2+5». Частью длинного действа стала оригинальная постановка «Чёрный список Пушкина» с участием актрисы Ольги Медведевой.
Мини-спектакль с короткими рассказами о женщинах из ближнего круга поэта представляет собой размышление на тему, как бы выглядело их общение в современном мире через мессенджеры. После завершения сюжета о каждой возлюбленной Пушкина зрители принимают решение, вносит ли он её в «чёрный список» или не прерывает коммуникацию.
Евгений Свалов (4Mal) по приглашению Александра Борисова подготовил тематическое музыкальное оформление «Чёрного списка» — саундтрек к рассказам о разных женщинах и другие элементы, дополнявшие и усиливавшие общее впечатление.
Евгений также был на сцене поэтического марафона во время «Чёрного списка» вместе с Ольгой Медведевой и Александром Борисовым и озвучивал мини-спектакль в формате 4Mal DJ-сета.
В сингл 4Mal «2+2+5 (Pushkin’s 225)» вошли два трека: основная фортепианная тема «Two Plus Two Plus Five» со звуками блокировки переписки и сердцебиения, и «Sub Lucerna» — атмосферная зарисовка, передающая настроение Пушкина, работающего поздней ночью за письменным столом при слабом свете под треск лучины.
Арт-директор «Русской кибернетики» Александр Киреев поддержал идею режиссёра переосмыслить классику на современный лад и оформил обложку сингла, разместив на ней схему из значков «собеседников», находящихся в разных ролях и на разных стадиях общения.

To celebrate the anniversary of Alexander Pushkin, Russia’s one of the most well-known poets, theater director Alexander Borisov conceived and implemented a large-scale project — a nine-hour poetry marathon «2+2+5». The original production «Pushkin’s Black List» with the participation of actress Olga Medvedeva became a part of the long action.
The mini-performance with short stories about women from the poet’s inner circle is a reflection of what their communication would look like in the modern world via messengers. After completing the story about each of Pushkin’s sweethearts, the audience decides whether he puts her on the «blacklist» or does not interrupt the communication.
Russian electronic music producer Evgeny Svalov (4Mal), at the invitation of Alexander Borisov, prepared the thematic musical design of «The Black List» — the soundtrack to the stories about different women and other elements that complemented and enhanced the overall impression.
Evgeny was also on the stage of the poetry marathon during «The Black List» together with Olga Medvedeva and Alexander Borisov, and soundtracked the mini-performance in the format of a 4Mal DJ-set.
The 4Mal single «2+2+5 (Pushkin’s 225)» includes two tracks: the main piano theme «Two Plus Two Plus Five» with sounds of dialog blocking and heartbeat, and «Sub Lucerna» — an atmospheric sketch conveying the mood of Pushkin working late at night at a desk by the weak light of a kindling wood.
Alexander Kireev, art director of «Russian Cybernetics», supported the theatrical performance director’s idea to reinterpret the classics in a modern way and designed the cover of the single, placing on it a scheme of «interlocutors» icons in different roles and at various stages of communication.
